![]() ![]() When we are not installing or taking down the lights, we are planning, designing, repairing and building new features for next year. We take everything down to use the following year. ZooLights is a year-round process and has a full-time staff. Installation begins in mid-July and wraps up the end of October. It takes a four-person crew approximately 14 weeks to install. How long does it take to install ZooLights? Just make sure you guys bring plenty of layers and it isn't forecasted to rain. after the first wave of visitors have come and gone. ![]() The majority of people arrive when the gates first open so an alternative is to arrive around 7:30 p.m. The least crowded nights to attend are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the first two weeks of December and the first week of January. When is the best time to visit ZooLights? The 29th of Dec, and Jan 1st through the 6th admission is $12.95 each (assuming you guys are not members). Not sure if you noticed, but there are nights that are cheaper than others. This year they have Nature Connects®: Art with LEGO® Bricks, which was really cool. My teens enjoy the lights, the light show around the lake (a bit lacking imo), and the hot cocoa (which we bring from QT). Still pricey, but this pic happened to be particularly nice. We usually don't buy the picture package that they take when you enter, but last time I haggled what I had in my pocket, which was $24. I guess we didn't catch those while we were there. The website claims a Polar Slide, and Snowfall Nightly at 7 p.m. There is also a Carou$el, Camel ride$, and $tingrays.
